Technical Service Engineer

(CODE: TS – ENG)

As the Technical Service Engineer you will be responsible for all Technical Services Drill and Blast functions. Reporting to the Senior Mine Planner the role will provide support including reporting, rosters, drill and blast plans and schedules. You will ensure these functions are done in a timely, professional and safe manner.

The selected candidates are also responsible to perform accurate design duties on time for all drill and blast
activities at the site and undertake ‘Drill and Blast’ related project studies and investigations. Sometimes you are need to maintain and enhance contractor relationships.

When you will apply this position, you have to graduate from mining engineering degree and has experience as blasting engineer at least 2 years. The communications skills are very required  to communicate with clients,  beside the candidates should capable in technical and computer skills. When you hold blaster competency (KJL II) and POP, please attach the certificates at your application.




Your Duties are incudes:

1. Liaise with the Drill and Blast Superintendent to efficiently schedule the drilling and blasting requirements and minimise interruption of other mining operations.
2. Liaise with the Drill and Blast Superintendent to ensure drilling and blasting operations are carried out in a cost effective manner.
3. Liaise with the Drill and blast Superintendent to develop and implement procedures that optimise the drill and blast process.
4. Resolve drill and blast technical problems.
5. Prepare, monitor and update production data associated with drilling and blasting activities.
6. Review Q/A data, digging sheets and blast videos to determine areas of further improvement.
7. Liaise with consultant and specialist suppliers as required.
8. Inspect drill and blast areas periodically
