SPC engaged in oil and gas exploration and production, refining, terminalling and distribution, marketing and trading of crude and refined petroleum products since it was founded in 1969. At the first founded, the company name is Singapore Petroleum & Chemical Co. Pte Ltd and later change to Singapore Petroleum Company.
The upstream investment business was started in 2000 to create sustainable long-term growth business. Currently the company has 3 gas pipelines, 1 exploration permit and 11 Production Sharing Contracts in Asia-Pacific region, they are: Indonesia, China, Australia, Cambodia and Vietnam.
In the pipeline business, SPC holds interests in three regional gas transmission pipelines. The 654-kilometre West Natuna Transportation System which carrying gas from the West Natuna Sea to Singapore, The 468-kilometre Grissik-Batam-Singapore Pipeline is the second direct gas pipeline transmitting gas from Indonesia to Singapore and The 536-kilometre Grissik-Duri Pipeline is a trunk line that transmits gas from the Grissik gas fields to Caltex's Duri facilities..
